changes in 2024

Dear Friends,

As we look back on our programming year, we are proud to say that we have already touched more people’s lives than in any single year prior. Our 11 programs reached 120 adults and 76 youth plus their families. These programs were supported by dozens of paid and volunteer staff and many more participated in free offerings like our fireside and men councils, welcome home ceremonies, and work parties. Cascadia Quest is serving more diverse communities, and we are honored by the growing number of people seeking out our work.

We get consistent feedback that Cascadia Quest’s work brings hope and possibility into people’s lives. This year youth discovered new strengths and the joy of life beyond their screens, while adults found profound renewal.

“One of the most transformative experiences in my entire life. I feel humbled and in awe of the container, principles behind the process, and the leadership of Nicole and Kinde. The loving presence that they modeled is enough to move mountains! I have certainly been reborn…”
Monel Chang, Portland, OR, Women’s Vision Fast 2024

"Returning to my world was both a resurrection and a vehicle to navigate through the grief that had tunneled into my heart. I returned home with joy... something I haven't felt in three years!"
Guy Salerno, Medford, OR, Tending Male Fire October 2024

For a small organization, the impact of our work is huge!

Cascadia Quest is at a pivotal crossroads. With founder and Executive Director Rob Miller’s recent move to Ashland, OR, we now have access to an incredible 212-acre location, perfect for expanding our wilderness programs. This transition is an extraordinary opportunity to broaden our reach and deepen the impact of our work. To realize this vision, it is time to hire a new Executive Director, enabling Rob to focus fully on guiding and program development.

By meeting our goal of raising $50,000 this calendar year, we’ll be able to bring on the essential leadership that will ensure the long-term stability and growth of Cascadia Quest. Just as it takes a village to provide meaningful rites of passage, it also takes a village to support an organization and community doing so.
